HISTORY
Tracy Connects was founded in 2021 by Mayor Nancy Young in partnership with the Tracy Chamber of Commerce. For decades Tracy had been known as a Bedroom Community and many of our residents were not plugged in and connected to the many wonderful opportunities Tracy has to offer. With the added COVID-19 Pandemic and Restrictions, many were further disjointed and our community was in need of a fusion to reconnect. The answer was an annual Tracy Connects Day that fostered connectivity while bringing together numerous resources to the local community. It was set up as a free annual event in the park including vendor booths, food, kid zone, and entertainment. Mayor Young proclaimed each year’s date in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 as Tracy Connects Day in Tracy, Ca. As of 2025, The Young Connects, local 501 (c) 3 nonprofit will continue this great resource connecting event for the benefit of the Tracy Community.
The MISSION and VISION of this annual event remains the same with the added caveat of “Living Your Best Life in Tracy”:
“Living Your Best Life in Tracy" through fostering synergy within the Tracy community by connecting businesses, non-profits, service organizations, and city programs through an annual, sales-free event that promotes awareness, collaboration, and engagement—offering information, applications, free food, and entertainment.”
The first annual focus 2021: “Help Eliminate Homelessness”
The second annual focus 2022: “Restore Learning Loss”
The third annual focus 2023: “Behavioral and Mental Health”
The fourth annual focus 2024: “Emotional Wellness: Self-Care”
This fifth annual’s focus 2025: “Living Your Best Life in Tracy: Foster Youth Health and Wellness”
The sixth annual focus 2026: “Living Your Best Life in Tracy: Bridging the Digital Divide - Youth and Seniors”
