Story
Background:
For decades, Tracy has been known as a Bedroom Community, and many of our residents are not plugged in and connected to the many wonderful opportunities Tracy has to offer. With the added COVID-19 Pandemic and restrictions, many were further disjointed and our community as in need of a fusion to reconnect. The answer was simple: an annual Tracy Connects Day, founded in 2021 by Mayor Nancy Young, in partnership with the Tracy Chamber of Commerce. The Young Connects, a 501(c)3, was created in 2025 by a group of community citizens, led by the inaugural CEO, Nancy Young, to continue the mission for the vision of the original Tracy Connects 2021 and further expansion to fulfill the mission.

Through high-impact events, internships, and deep-rooted partnerships, we provide the vital links to career opportunities, education, and services that drive individual and collective success.

Each year, we have a focus and theme that supports the growth and well-being of the community that will be culminated by raising funds for non-profit(s) or organization(s) who carry out that mission or focus in the local Tracy Community!

Signature Event:
Tracy Connects will have its 6th annual signature event on Saturday, September 19th, 2026, at Lincoln Park, 20 E. Eaton, Tracy, CA, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Opening ceremonies start at 10:15 AM
